- Hold a Holiday Pre-view in September or early October with selected customers to show the limited holiday gift items. From this, you'll get an idea what will be popular for your holiday orders.
- Hold your open house the the first or second weekend of November (before Thanksgiving - before black Friday).
- Send invitations in a colored envelope which I believed helps people to not toss it with the junk mail. Incentive to come, FREE lipstick.
- COMMUNICATION/FOLLOW UP IS KEY! Send a follow up email to each person invited with more detail about the open house specifically about having pre-wrapped gifts for under $10, $15, $20, $25. Send them to your website with instructions on how to navigate to the holiday gift items.
- COMMUNICATION/FOLLOW UP IS KEY! Send a group reminder email the Thursday before your open house. Call each customer the Friday before your open house. Let them know how excited you are about your holiday open house and about seeing them. Promote your event through your voice.
- Spend very little time decorating, but have holiday candles burning, apple cider in a crock pot and easy treats for customers to enjoy while checking out.
- Set up four main tables and include tester products for most items.
- Holiday Gift Table - all of the new limited holiday gift items and the regular body care products and parfums.
- Stocking Stuffer Table - gifts under $20, pre-wrapped. Includ lipgloss, tinted lip balm, eyesicles, mascara, hand cream, Mint Bliss and Fall Gift With Purchase items.
- Skin Care Product Table - full retail skin care product line. If they see it they will remember they need it, or try something new.
- Bargain Table - discountinued items and left over limited items at a reduced price. Ladies are always shopping for a bargain.
- Schedule a Open House party with a customer who would like to host one for her friends.
